Acts 2:42 Men’s Fellowship
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 NIV
As we move past the Easter celebration, let us look toward the future with all joy and hope. For Jesus Christ our Savior has defeated death by rising from the grave on the third day two thousand years ago. No longer does sin separate us from God, for our debt has been paid in full. We who believe are now a new creation in Christ…
So there is certainly good news to share!! This is the great commission that has been given to each one of us. We are called to go out into the world and make disciples by sharing the good news. And the work is not ours; it is accomplished only by the Holy Spirit. Our calling is to share and teach the good news and allow the Lord to make the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6).
Therefore the season ahead is exciting. There are many places the Lord may lead us to. And it may be within our own Church on any given Sunday. Many people walk through the doors of Northshore on a Sunday morning who are there for the first time. Many of these people may not know Christ but are there because of the calling from God’s mighty hand of providence.
My prayer is that we may be able to find these moments and make a connection with those who need to hear the Word of God. When we are able to plant a seed, water it through our love, this allows the Lord to be able to make it grow.
And the news we share carries to the end of the earth. For the whisper of His voice can be heard through the testimony of each one of us. For it is written in the book of Romans:
“But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did: ‘Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.’” Romans 10:18 NIV
Let us know that each one of us makes a difference through our testimony. Even when it does not seem like we are making an impact, let us remember His voice and know that He speaks through each one of us. By allowing God to work through us, His revelation will be carried unto the ends of the earth…
